Code of Conduct
Delaware County Fair – Code of Conduct for Patrons
The Delaware County Fair is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and family-friendly environment for all guests. By entering the fairgrounds, all patrons agree to follow this Code of Conduct:
1. Respect for All
Treat fellow guests, staff, vendors, exhibitors, and volunteers with courtesy and respect.
Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.
2. Personal Conduct
Disorderly conduct, including but not limited to public intoxication, fighting, indecent exposure, or offensive language, is prohibited.
Possession or use of illegal substances is strictly forbidden.
Smoking and vaping are allowed only in designated areas.
3. Safety and Security
Weapons of any kind are not allowed, except as permitted by law and fair policy (e.g., law enforcement).
Follow all posted signs and staff instructions, especially in case of emergencies or evacuations.
Do not enter restricted or roped-off areas.
No parking in posted fire lanes. Vehicles must maintain 12ft. from structures/buildings.
Proper credentials must be visibly displayed in designated parking areas.
4. Animals
Only service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed in public areas, except during specific animal exhibits or shows.
Do not touch or feed animals without permission from handlers or staff.
All 4H projects must stay in their designated areas.
5. Children and Supervision
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian or chaperone (18 yrs old) after dark.
Parents/guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of minors in their care or supervision.
6. Property and Environment
Help keep the fairgrounds clean—use trash and recycling bins.
Vandalism, theft, or destruction of property will result in removal from the fair and possible legal action.
Respect landscaping and natural features.
7. Photography and Media
Personal photography is allowed for non-commercial use.
Do not take photos or videos of minors.
Commercial or media photography requires prior authorization.
Drones are not permitted to be used anywhere on fairgrounds. (see drone policy)
8. Dress Code
Attire must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.
Clothing with offensive language, symbols, or graphics is not permitted.
9. Ticketing and Entry
All guests must have a valid ticket or credential for entry.
Tickets are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
Re-entry is allowed only with proper wristbands or hand stamps.
10. Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in the removal from the fairgrounds without a refund.
Law enforcement may be contacted if necessary.
